Problems logging on or staying on? |
** PLEASE SEE #8 BELOW THIS IS MOST OFTEN THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM YOU ARE HAVING!! ** .If you are having trouble logging in and staying logged in, there are many possibilities for what is causing the error. If you do not mind, we can change your password and sign on as you from our location to see if it is a problem at your location. This is most likely the case. It is rare for this type of problem to be on our end.
What you should know before you start and what we need to know before we can help you further: 1. What type of computer are you using? PC or MAC? 2.. What type of Browser are you using? 3. What version is the browser it? (Click on HELP in the tool bar and then ABOUT) 4. How do you connect to the internet and BestGFE? DSL, Cable, Fios, Dial-up? 5. Do you use your browser from inside an application, like AOL? 6. Do you have some firewall protection via Windows, Norton/Symantec, McAfee, Zonealarm, etc? Please have all that information in the next email if you need to contact us again. But first, try some of the things below to clear this up. 1. Clear your browser cache (TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS/GENERAL tab) Delete Temporary Internet Files/All Offline content. Click OK and/or CLOSE to exit. 2. Clear your cookies (TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS/GENERAL tab) Delete Cookies. Click OK and/or CLOSE to exit. 3. Adjust your Security Settings for SITES (TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS/PRIVACY tab) Click on SITES and add http://www,bestgfe.com , Click on ALLOW ,then click OK 4. Adjust your Security Settings for COOKIES (TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS/PRIVACY tab) Click on ADVANCED. OVERRIDE AUTOMATIC COOKIE HANDLING should NOT be checked. Make sure that box is UNCHECKED, then click OK. 5. Adjust your Security Settings for #2 (TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS/SECURITY tab) Click on RESET ALL ZONES TO DEFAULT LEVEL, then click APPLY. 6. Adjust your Security Settings for #3 (TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS/SECURITY tab) Click on TRUSTED SITES, then click on SITES. Where it says ADD THIS WEBSITE TO THIS ZONE, enter http://www,bestgfe.com , Click on ADD ,then click CLOSE. Click on OK in the Internet Options box. 7. Click on START, then RUN. Enter CMD in the box and click OK. A black box will appear. Enter this EXACTLY as follows - IPCONFIG /flushdns press ENTER Note: there is a space between ipconfig and the /, but no space between the / and the word flushdns. If there are errors, note them. Then type EXIT and press ENTER. 8. When you log in be sure the REMEMBER ME box is checked. VERY IMPORTANT! 9. If you MUST use AOL to connect to the internet, minimize it after connecting and try using Microsofts Internet Explorer or Mozilla or some other browser. Let us know what happened when you performed these steps or if you were unable to perform any of them. Also be sure to let us know your configuration as outlined in the first section of this email.
