Agreed. His open air tactics are a disaster waiting to happen.

As far as the Travel hold/ban is concerned, I am all for vetting. I was watching a video about North Korean refugees that defect to the South and how they make sure they aren't getting a bunch of intel agents from Pyongyang and Chinese people pretending to be from North Korea in order to get the benefits.

When a refugee from North Korea arrives, immigration officials take them to a center called Hanawon. They are interviewed by a behavioral analyst(much like the kind Mossad uses) and they undergo extensive polygraph, VSA, and in some cases FMRI scans to ensure they are not North Korean spies. Then they get an AncestryDNA type test to make sure they aren't fake refugees from China trying to mooch benefits.

I'm not saying that we should do this as a sole means of vetting, but if we were able to have it as part of the vetting process with refugees, it could do a hell of a lot to prove that a person is actually from where they say they are from,(DNA mapping) and that they aren't going to do anything malicious when they get here.

Additionally, with DNA mapping/testing....You had better believe that the military has DNA samples on file of known dead terrorists, and a bunch of live ones, too. Set a database up. It'd be easy to spot known relatives of a notorious terrorist who were trying to sneak in under a fake name. Hell, it's also a good way to find relatives of known terrorists that were horrified by that relative's actions and want to help bring them to justice. It could save the State department some money on labor and in time, streamline the vetting process.

Instead of saying "We simply can't let these people in" we need to ask "How can we let these people in" All of us here who are citizens today were lucky enough to have society make room for their ancestors. Look back in your own family trees, it's really likely there is at least one refugee hanging off of a branch somewhere.

Such screening measures would most certainly stave off those with malicious intent as well those who share DNA with known bad actors. 23and Me will get rich in the process! What's it trading at now? ;)

Honestly, too 1984-ish for my tastes. But I make that determination regardless or race or religion.

Ha. I just need to remind you on a rare occasion that you're a Republican (registered). The way things are going, what with Buy. Play. Trade. Repeat. and the barely evolved running rampant, I'm satisfied casting my lot with the likes of you and @njlefty

I have no clue. I get that it would be too 1984-ish for some people but I know for a fact that the situation for so many of these people is bad enough that many would happily do so to prove that they are no threat. South Korea has had great success with it over there.

How the hell else can we prove somebody is Syrian when they have no documents?

Excellent thought although it seems "extreme" and "Republican" is likely redundant.

In addition to this, studies by Korean psychologists found that refugees defecting from North Korea that had this type of vetting as opposed to the kind our State department overcame their PTSD and integrated into South Korean society as a whole much more quickly than before the vetting started.

Open the gates and let more in!!

Mind boggling when you read some of the details of the people murdered. If we would only heed the wise Joe Biden

Maybe that only applies to American citizens in the exercising of their 2nd Amendment rights.

So the government through the social security system has a list of folks who are so limited mentally that they can't even write a check .

Obama in his great wisdom figured it wouldn't be a good idea for these folks to have guns so he signs a law forbidding them to own guns. In comes Trumputin and his allegiance to the NRA and decides it's a good idea to repeal that decision.

Yeah I know it ain't PC. To use the " retard" word but u think it's ok for them to own guns?

Go ahead defend that decision because of your love for the second amendment
